Description: Shadow Quilting is a basic technique which sandwiches a piece of solid colored fabric called the Design Insert between a top sheer fabric and a foundation fabric. Bonded polyester batting (such as one used for quilts) is placed under the foundation fabric. Backing (a lightweight fabric) is placed under the batting. This pattern packet contains tissue and instructions to make a pillow 20" x 20", heart shaped pillow 17 1/2" x 15", bolster pillow 19" x 6 1/2", dresser scraf 43" x 21", mirrow frame 14 1/2" x 16", double picture frame 8 1/4" x 6 3/4", hoop art wall hangings 11" x 7 1/2".
Suggested Fabrics: cotton types such as broadcloth, gingham, calico. Top: sheer fabrics such as white cotton, poly voile or chiffon, batiste. Design insert: a medium weight solid or printed broadcloth. Design Foundation: lightweight solid color broadcloth. Backing: lightweight fabric.
This is a new, uncut pattern from 1983. Envelope flap is missing but pattern tissues and instruction are in unused factory folded condition.
There may be some wear or tears to the envelope that does not affect the tissue pattern or instructions.
